David Cruikshank has been fascinated by property since completing his real estate papers in 2005. While working full-time, he went on to earn a Diploma in Business Studies (Real Estate endorsed) through Massey University and achieved his AREINZ qualification in 2011. More recently, he added the New Zealand Certificate in Residential Property Management (Level 4) to his qualifications, further strengthening his expertise in the field.

Now thriving as a Property Manager at Collective First National, David brings a wealth of knowledge and a calm, people-focused approach to the role. He is known for being friendly, approachable, well-organised and dependable — qualities that help him go the extra mile for both landlords and tenants.

“Property management is all about people. For landlords, it’s about safeguarding one of their most valuable assets. For tenants, it’s about feeling secure and respected in their home. My job is to balance those needs with clear communication and great service.”

David manages a diverse portfolio of rental properties across Taranaki, offering landlords peace of mind through proactive management, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the rental market.

Aside from a memorable OE in Ireland, David has always called Taranaki home. He loves the region’s vibrancy, hospitality and natural beauty — and enjoys spending weekends with his family, out on the coast or up the mountain.

Whether you’re a landlord looking for reliable management or a tenant searching for a quality rental, David is always happy to help. Get in touch via phone, email or pop into the office for a chat.
